Tobys Lynx

“Toby” is a happy little 2001 model APHA who was purchased in 2006 to be my Mother’s trail pony. Toby is a wonderful bombproof ride and he is a great asset to our family.
Toby enjoys food—and that sums him up in a nut shell…or so we thought!
After sending Harry Houdini to Sara Mittleider (June 2010) and then selling Kaboom (January 2011) I was left with no horses to jump. I first started jumping Toby for giggles but quickly realized he was quite athletic and that I should take him seriously! I have also learned that Toby is great in the dressage arena and easily dishes out scores in the high 20s and low 30s. He readily scores 9s on his marching stretchy walk! He is a super tidy jumper with great scope but is a little dramatic at times and tends to over think life. I would love to take him to the AECs or compete him in a T3D in the future.
Toby’s name: Unfortunately, Toby’s intended name is Lynx. I noticed in 2010 that the first name of his original owner was Toby. I find it comical that not only did this owner register his APHA as his own, but he also left out the apostrophe. And now, when Toby is acting dorky I point a finger at him and call him “Lynx.”
Toby has his own series of entries that can be found on my blog site. They are titled “The Cow Pony Chronicles”.
